The Streamline 26 TE got the job done today. In need of a load of Kingfish for the smoker, the Best Boat crew thumbed their noses at 20 kt wind and rolled out to get the job done. Check out the full recap of this model soon on Florida Sportsman Best Boat TV.

Permit are prized gamefish for anglers especially those who target them on the flats. Drew and Kelly Lawrence we’re targeting bull reds with blue crabs at Ponce inlet, and they caught something a little different, a permit. “Kelly caught it while fishing for bull reds. Pretty good bycatch!” Said Drew. Permit aren’t a normal catch this far up the coast but it does happen!

But, did he catch it himself? Yes. Did he catch the bait? Yes. But, did throw the cast net? Yes. Yes and Yes. And Owen Clancy, Tequesta, is seven years old. According to Owen’s dad, Mike Clancey, he caught the mullet in his cast net and got this fish all on his own.” Well done Owen.

Water temperatures starting to drop slightly, anyone else catching trout? Ashton Angwin, got a respectable 25-inch fish working an artificial. “I got him on the Mirrolure LilJohn at a very high tide while targeting snook in the mangroves. It was in the Hudson/New Port Richey area. I got this one and a few in the 18-inch range.

Verified Snook Vision... I don’t have that hat but we have all had that feeling! Carson Aquila caught this and decided to showcase that vision in the mangroves. “Caught in Venice florida on a top water spook with my favorite hat,” said Carson. Is that look Blue Steel or Magnum?
